When Google says "Getting Ready" in Adsense, what does it actually mean?
When you subscribe to Google and agree to put adverts on your website from Google, it can sometimes seem like they're dragging their feet. When they do come back, they just point you to a generic reasons page which asks you to :-
- The site is not in development and is ready to be indexed.
- Ensure the Adsense code is enabled.
- Content is not duplicated.
- The site is high quality and not spammy.
If you pass all those tests and they're still saying "Getting Ready" or even "Rejected", what they are actually saying is that your site doesn't have sufficient visitor numbers for us to agree to place adverts on your site. This might be the situation with other advertising companies so am not saying leaving Google Adsense, I'm saying you need to work on the SEO and get your visitor numbers up.
Yes, I know at the time of writing, there are no adverts being displayed on my site so how can I say this. One of my other sites had low visitor numbers and was rejected for adverts. When the visitor numbers increased, I got accepted.
Whilst I've had this domain since 2011, I've not done any work on it until now so its always had next to zero visitors so am starting from the bottom up on this one.
